Are you a Canadian complainant, an exporter or importer, or a trade association representing any interested groups? Do you want to know your chances of success in an injury determination by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (Tribunal)? If yes, then this seminar is for you.
This seminar covers the key indicators of injury considered by the Tribunal in injury proceedings including impact on market share, lost sales, price erosion and price suppressions, profitability as well as other indicators of injury relative to reduced production, underutilization of capacity, negative impact on cash flow, wages, growth and negative returns on investment.
At the end of the seminar, course participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the injury factors that a Tribunal will consider determining whether or not there is past injury or threat to industry to the domestic production of like goods. With this understanding they will be able to evaluate their chances of success as a complainant or provide the opposing parties with areas that they need to focus on in order to defend their interest before the Tribunal.
While the requirements are specific to the Canadian Legislation, the factors impacting on injury in trade remedy matter are universal and can be applied in any jurisdiction.
